In One Week...

I will be a working mother! YIKES!
Pictured above is another animal-footed outfit of Monkey's. Sheep feet. What confuses J & I are the diverse animals: a lion, chicken, giraffe, elephant, and a sheep? The topic isn't the zoo. Or the African plains. Or the farmyard.

I have so many mixed emotions about going to work. I pray that I really like it & that I don't have any meltdowns. I need a list.

PROs about going to work:

1. I will shower more regularly.

2. I will put on make up & do my hair again.

3. I will be making money that I can spend at Target.

4. And at Target, I can buy things that are probably a huge waste of money that I don' t need: like those seasonal dishes & baby wellies & cool Christmas gifts. (In reality, my entire paycheck will be divided into 2 parts: 1/2 for J's student loans & 1/2 for my student loans. But this depresses me, so I'll pretend it isn't so.)

4. I will be busier, so MIL & Evil SIL will probably anger me less, making me a less bitter person.

5. I won't feel guilty that Monkey has only ME to stare at all day. I sometimes worry that I am not stimulating enough for her.

6. Daycare will get Monkey on a nice, steady schedule- something I strived to do but fail miserably.

7. It's the last big change I'll have to make in hopefully a long time. Let's hope.

One More Thing...

Hehe, see the little person in there? I love when Perez does that.

10.5 Weeks Later

This is my child's foot.... Notice the fuzzies in between her toes! I was going to clean them out for the picture, but decided against it- I think they're cute!

This is my body as of this morning. As you can see, I've lost a lot of muscle tone in my mid to lower abs. But.... I've done much less ab work than I would've done in the past. And I haven't done ANY for a million months- bc you're not allowed when pregs. I've officially reached my pre-preg weight (2 weeks ago), but my body is different. Boobs are a bit larger (much to my dismay), stomach is less toned, & my thighs seem shaped a bit different, but this is probably bc I haven't been able to run as much as I used to--- ya know.... with a baby hangin' around. So while I'm generally discontent with my bod right now, I'm too tired to really care. And J? Well, frankly, J did this to me!! So that's his problem. Bring on the mom jeans!!

Below, we have me in December- at week 35. I literally have NO recollection of being pregnant. Thank God I have this blog to remind me how much it sucked, eh? Oh!! But I just notice I'm wearing the same white tank top in both pictures. Look how much cleaner my bathroom was back then (I never did keep too clean of a bathroom, for the record). Again, I blame it all on the infant!
Did I mention that when the doc broke my water it felt so good. It was as if I had been holding my pee for 9 months & there was just this great release. I was also hopped up on narcotics, so... I pretended it was a nice hot bath. Sick, right?

Speaking of bath- below are J & I giving Hannie a bath 1 year ago to the month. Notice the beagle taking this opportunity to sniff her back.

Russian Roulette

Right now I should be getting ready for my lunch date today with my future co-worker. Monkey is all ready to go. She's wearing her black velour pants, a new top (a 3-6 months size!!!), and her trumpettes (featured above- but today hers are light pink).
Below I have my chubby little monkey posed in her new beach gear, as promised. She swiped my new shades (the sticker is still on them!). I'm going to have to beat the little boy babies off with sticks this summer, I suspect. And, sadly, one of them will probably be her 4 yr old male cousin. :)

My memories of spring are pretty much limited to the passed 10 years. I don't recall it in high school/jr high/elementary school. But I DO recall it in college and beyond.

Fresh year, I used my fake I.D. downtown at a bar I LOVED on Fridays. At around 10pm (my current bedtime.....) they'd bust out the karaoke. I drunkenly sang my heart out every week.

Soph year we had a front porch to sit on and chill. Haven't had a front porch like that since... .

My junior year in NYC - my certifiably crazy roommate and I would skip classes for the day & go shopping (at H&M) & eat and get wasted at sidewalk cafes. One particular night we met these British dudes, one of whom I kept in touch with for a few years named Joe. But the following year when he came to visit, the spark we originally felt was gone (at least on my end).

My last year of college (full year- I took my time) I lack such memories. I was depressed & stressed about graduating bc I was unsure about my next move. I didn't feel like going to law school and as an English major, this puts you in a precarious position. I was dating another dude named Joe (an American) who I also didn't feel a spark with... but I couldn't figure out why. We discussed it countless times over the year, which in retrospect amuses me. Our convos were like, Me: "I just don't know why I'm not that into you." Joe: "I don't understand why we can't just be exclusive." Me: "Me neither. I'm just not feeling it." Joe: "Are you sure? Do you think if we date long enough you eventually will?" Me: "We can try." But it never worked. When he found out I was engaged 3 years later (via our mutual college friend) he was super critical & said that I couldn't get married bc I was too "inexperienced." Isn't that funny? I can tell you what, though- inexperienced or not- I didn't have to force the spark with J. And I still feel it. And it's awesome.

Update on MIL Email

She responded initially with a brief "I'm sorry I'm a worry wart" statement- basically ignoring her rudeness- & then wishing me a fun day with my mom (we had plans, but postponed 'em til Thursday). Two hours later J & I received a longer "I'm sorry I give unwarranted advice in all the time- I'm just trying to help" email.

It didn't bother me that she was trying to help- but that she was trying to "teach me a lesson" - from a position of complete ignorance.

I'm contemplating responding with something along these lines, but I don't think I will. Bc not having to listen to her advice ever again sounds like a pretty good deal to me!

On another note: Hannie's biopsy results came back negative!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank the sweet Lord- I will hopefully have many more days filled with pats, dog hair, treats, walks, & pulling random objects from the depths of a golden retriever's throat. Today alone I found a pacifier, a bib, and a little stuffed animal. I love you, sweet Hannah. My little scavenger. My big, 70-pound dummy. May you live a long, full, & happy life. Destroying our house.

Spoke Too Soon

So yesterday afternoon there was a knock at the door. I answered, in all my non-showered glory. It was MIL.

Backstory: Our backyard has been flooding during these ridiculous rain storms. We're hoping to fix it soon. J mentioned it to MIL in convo.

Me: "Hi"
MIL: "Hi. Sorry for intruding. I came to check out your backyard. I thought it might be flooded."
Me: "Sure. It's not flooded now, though. We didn't get enough rain."
We walk to the back door & step outside.
MIL: "Now where does it flood?"
Me: "It starts on that side & pools over."
MIL: "I've been up all night worrying about it."
I give her a look that says I think she's crazy for worrying about something so dumb.
Me: "Why? It's just a backyard."
MIL: "I just worry about you 2 financially."
Me: "We're fine. I'm about to start working. There's nothing to worry about."
MIL: "Are you sure?"
Me: "Yes. We're great."
MIL: "Well, then- I hope you 2 learned your lesson about not purchasing a house on a whim & thinking things through first."
I felt like I had been punched in the stomach. I was furious.
Me: "I disagree. We did think it through. And our backyard didn't start flooding until we dug up a huge bush. So this is our fault."
MIL goes on some diatribe about how we should let professionals remove our bushes. My ears are still ringing in fury from her original statement.
MIL, with puppy face (believe it or not): "Are you upset with me?"
Me: "No (I regret lying now), but this backyard thing is no big deal. It's common. Our neighbors have to re-sod 2x a summer."
MIL then apologized again for barging in & said she called (she didn't call, btw, but that's fine. I don't mind her stopping by unannounced, but I DO mind her insulting me in the process).

I mulled this over all night. I was so mad. Monkey awoke at 5:00am for a bottle & I began to think about it again. Monkey was back to sleep by 5:30am, but I was up for the day. This made me doubly mad. She disturbed my peace of mind- and that is some valuable sh*t.

So I wrote her an email. It said: "Thanks for your concern about our backyard. J & I love this house. We purchased it (not on a whim) & stand by our decision. I'm sure we'll find a solution to this backyard issue."

I hope it wasn't too nice.

Monday

Saturday I received in the mail from work info about my department & all the new regulations issued by the SEC on corporate disclosure requirements. Exciting, no? My gut reaction was "Ugh. How am I going to focus on this?" But this morning during Monkey's mini-nap, I began to look over the info & found that it wasn't bad. Then Monk awoke & it was bath time. Then "get dressed & scream when Mommy pulls the onesie over my head" time. Then "scream during tummy time" time. My little munchkin.

Last night we saw the ole' in-laws. Nothing noteworthy but at one point, MIL did say to me, 'You sew, right?' (in reference to a blazer she thought I might want - the sleeves are long, I guess). I looked at her like she was smoking something crazy & responded, "Of course I don't sew." Dude. I spend my downtime in Target sweatpants. And if I'm all gussied up- I get that sh*t tailored if need be. But this just indicated to me how old-fashioned she is. I should be more understanding of our generational differences, I suppose.

The blazer was like this red cowboy suede circa 1995. Hellllllls yeah.

Please Pray for My Doggie

I've been extra on edge lately bc I found a small tumor on Hannah, and I'm waiting for the cytology results from the vet. I always advise my close friends/family to not waste tears & succomb to negativity (believe it or not) before you know something for sure, but I'm having a really hard time applying that advice to my own life. I'm hoping that this is a crazy false alarm, similar to the freckle on my stomach I had removed & biopsied a month ago, but the vet did indeed acknowledge that it is a tumor. I feel sick to my stomach and can barely function. I just love her so much and want so, so badly to have many more years together. This wait has been among the longest of my entire life.

Thoughts...and a Nasty Rant

because I know you're on the edge of your seat...

*Last night I noticed Monkey was crying real tears. So I tasted one and it was salty. I reported it to J & we were both like, 'AWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' If we weren't already (we were), we have become those lame-a$$ parents.

*Today at the grocery store a little old lady asked me for help reaching oats on the top shelf. She then cooed at Monkey for awhile & complimented her exemplary grocery-store demeanor. Then she told me to remember that all babies are durable & you just gotta give them a lot of love. Well, little old lady, I love you. And you brightened my day. I love, love old people.

*RANT on MIL- you may want to skip over this part-nothing you haven't read before After my daycare visit I had a mini-meltdown. I know it isn't a MIL's duty to babysit grandkids (I do think, though, that a GOOD grandmother WANTS to watch her grandkids- at least for an hour- a la MY MOM. So while it's not in the job description, they can't loudly proclaim their love/adoration for their grandkids. You lose that privilege.) Note: I don't mind Monkey going to daycare- I just wish she could start a bit later than 3 months. Like 3.5 months. I can't get over that she won't watch Monk for even ONE DAY. I know she doesn't do anything all day but mill around (she has cleaning people, no kids/job/friends/volunteer work/hobbies- I mean-- I WAS her last fall (when I wasn't babysitting) & I didn't do jack. I just don't see how a week (or 2 days.. or a half day) of her life spent helping us out would detract from her existence in any way. Again, I'm all the more grateful for my own fam. I'm contemplating straight-up asking her- bc I want her to SAY aloud "no" & force her to come up w an excuse. And, again, I know it isn't her job- but it makes me like her less. I feel bad for J that this is his mother. He acknowledges what a bad grandma she is, but it's his mom- so he gets upset when I trash talk her. So I don't do it to his face.

But as my time to work draws near, my anger towards her increases. I know holding grudges isn't right, but I'm having trouble letting it go. So I've been passively seeking revenge by not updating her on Monkey or including her in Monkey's life like I could be (I send my mom, grandmothers, and aunts Monkey pics & stats regularly). I respond to her emails as briefly as possible. I know in my heart of hearts it isn't my job to punish her. But I feel like if she were truly interested in Monkey's well-being and truly loved her like my mom does, she'd want to prolong daycare as long as possible- and she has told me before that she finds daycare "gross." Again, I don't want to say anything to J bc it just makes his life more complicated. But the 5th grader in me wants him to tell his mom how much she sucks & to yell at her for being a sh*tty person.

I am filled with so much bitterness. I hate this feeling. I have to focus on the little old lady at the grocery store & the fact that Monkey will only be 3 months for 1 month & then she'll get older. And w the next kid, I will be able to take 6 months maternity leave & will be able to spend long days with Monkey once more. Perhaps MIL loves Monkey as much as she can- perhaps her capacity for love isn't as great. What if she just spent her entire sad life waiting for her husband to retire (she has no friends) & now that he has, she wants to be available for whenever he decides to hang out w her sorry a$$ (he's a busy, fun-loving dude. She's a hermit).

Whatever. Next time that b*tch knocks on my door to bring me used nipple cream, I'm slamming it in her face.

Disclaimer: I don't walk around in my everyday life this miserable-I'm actually incredibly nice to my in-laws. And sometimes I even think, 'See? they're not that bad.' But no sooner do I begin to think it's time to change my bitter ways when MIL tells me she finds daycare gross while in the same breath asking if I think she's a bad grandma for not helping out. So, wait- I do have sh*tty in-laws. These are things I just can't deny. My friends have good in-laws. I don't.

Some Baby Stuff, Some Not

I stopped in at daycare today to pick up Monkey's physical form for the doctor to fill out. There were babies of all ages crawling/toddling around & they all seemed super happy. It was cute & I briefly felt like my calling was to work in the baby room at a daycare

I did this in high school &, frankly, it's not all that. I got really sleepy mid-day, whereas I found waitressing to be generally more energizing. I was able to goof off immaturely with my peers working in restaurants. I worked at Friendly's, among other places. One time, unbeknownst to me, a cook put a huge scoop of chocolate ice cream in my apron where I kept my tips. Then he followed me around all night asking, 'M.... do you like chocolate ice cream? Chocolate ice cream- do you like it? Do you?' I was so confused... until the end of the night when I went to count my money and was greeted with dollar bills SWIMMING in melted chocolate ice cream. I believe my revenge involved whip cream in his hair. And then he whip-creamed my hair & I ended up having to wash my hair in the dishroom... Ahh... memories..

The memories alone make me want to get a job at Friendly's again. I made between $60-80 a shift and I had no expenses. At Christmas I remember oen time one of our specials was pork chops. And we had some kind of Christmas ice cream log that sold out a bunch. Maybe some mint ice cream too. And the one dishwasher's name was Randy and he had downs syndrome & was the nicest most wonderful person I've ever met in my entire life. I miss Randy. I wonder what he's up to.

Back to Work...

Soon, but not quite yet.

A female attorney at my firm called to set up a lunch date w me for next week. She's the only other female lawyer in that office with kids, so they may have set her up to it (but we always got along previously, so I'm sure she wouldn't have minded meeting up w me).

When I got her message & then called her back, I felt like "Old M"- the M who went to law school & did lawyerly work in the summers & one day fully intended on being a lawyer. I had an enormous surge of missing "Old M" combined with excitement at the prospect of *finally* getting to start working at this firm that was basically my dream firm for years before I landed the job.

Shortly after this burst of excitement, I was unexpectedly consumed with GUILT over feeling even remotely excited about starting work. I guess a huge part of me feels guilty leaving monkey during the day, even though I know the odds are high that she'll be fine. For a moment, I didn't feel guilty anymore, and then I felt guilty for not feeling guilty. Like I'm not being selfless enough.

I don't know if these feelings are normal, but they're going to be short-lived in my life. Needless guilt is unwelcome and time-consuming.

Baby and Dog

I finally had my 6 week postpartum dr appt- at 8 wks. I had to bring the baby bc my mom worked today & couldn't come down to babysit and I had already rescheduled this appt twice before.

Monkey was well behaved & just sat there watching it all... it was kind of weird to have her watch me get a pap smear. I kind of felt bad for her... bc that is the LAST thing I'd want to watch my mom do. Yet again, ignorance is bliss.

The doctor reported back that my uterus was tiny, which is unfortunate- it means the rest of my gut is mine to claim-- although he did say it would take awhile for my stomach muscles & skin to resume normalcy. So I guess I don't have to take responsibility for *all* of it. And I could be much worse off... at least I got a cuddly baby outta the deal.

I was thinking today about how I hope I eventually become a more relaxed parent. I mean, I know I've only been a parent for about 2 months, but I have a very real concern that I will always be temporarily insane (involving weepiness and anxiety due to overwhelming amounts of love for the little creature).

The doctor asked if I had sex yet & then asked what I was using for birth control. I felt like I was a teenager again, sitting in Planned Parenthood & feeling guilty about last night's transgressions... Again, the poor baby bore witness to this conversation.
I hope one day, Monkey straps a saddle onto Hannah's back & rides around the house on her.

Reporting Back

We made it to the mall & grocery store. I bought work clothes for me & a swimming suit for Monks (big plans, folks, big plans. I'm gonna post pictures of her in her new suit later). She morphed into my grumpy little chicken nugget towards the end, but I was feelin' it too. I saw myself in the dressing room mirror- disheveled at best. My hair was a wreck (even more so than usual) and my hoodie had slipped off my shoulder like a whore. I had a crazed look in my eye- indicating to the world that I'd been hauling around an infant & car seat all morning and got 5 hours of very interupted sleep last night...and the night before that... and the night before that. In short, I looked like hell. Luckily, I was at the dirt mall and its only other occupants were teenagers skipping school, mothers of small children (a la moi) & groups of dirty old men sitting around tables.

Monkey was mistaken for a boy multiple times, but that's to be expected when her mother (of questionable emotional stability) dresses her in gender neutral clothing. And she's bald.

Outing

Today, at 8 weeks, I will officially take Monkey out ALONE on our first outing. I'm dressed and she's currently drinking her bottle- much needed fuel for the road. I have to return a shirt to H&M, get a bag I liked at Ann Taylor Loft, buy diapers & something for dinner tonight. I also wanna hit up Old Navy and Carters for some clothes for Monk to wear at daycare... I'm gonna miss her...

Before I get all postpartum-y on your a$$, I'm gonna sign off.

EvilSIL visits this wkend. Dinner at the in-laws tomorrow night. Wish me luck.

Baptism

A few things have been keeping me from this old blog.

1. My work-out plan. It's going swimmingly (although I still have to force my lazy self to work-out each day- I NEVER feel like it). I tried on the dreaded pants on Saturday & they button easily!!! Now they don't fit as perfectly as they did pre-preg, but they're pretty damn close. It takes me a full day to fit in what would once be a 1.5 hr work-out since I'm stopping to care for a 7 wk old baby. It's either work-out or do housework. Sorry J- housework loses.

2. As it finally stopped snowing, we took Monkey to meet the rest of her relatives this wkend. She is meeting Evil SIL this wkend.

3. Baptism: we're baptizing her this summer. Since she's being baptized Catholic, things get sticky. At least one godparent must be Catholic. Good SIL is the only relative fit to be the godmother (she's Catholic) & my little brother could be the godfather (non-Catholic, would be honored). J said we can't do that to Evil SIL- it'll ruin her life, as Evil SIL is already insanely jealous of Good SIL. But Evil SIL isn't Catholic. Mother-in-law, dearest, learned of our debate & basically said that we can NOT have Good SIL be the godmother. Blah. I'm so grateful for my brothers. I think we're just going to have to go the "friends as godparents" route & sidestep this bullsh*t. I love how our daughter's godparents will be dictated by Evil SIL's insecurities. I noted this to J & he said he feels godparents are little more than lip service. But I feel differently. I think they can be a pretty huge deal. I mean... what if Monkey has an existential crisis?

4. Monkey has been napping less. This makes working out & blogging harder. But she's starting to coo and stuff now!!! Right now she's stinky & smells like formula. Bath time!

St. Patrick's Day

I envy the intoxicated on July 4th (my fav holiday)- it's summer, afterall. I also envy 'em on NYE, Xmas, weddings- all noble causes for celebration. I dislike Thanksgiving...but I enjoy the wine at dinner. I once looooved happy hours.

But I don't enjoy drinking on St. Patrick's Day. I don't envy the drunk people in green on bar crawls in the almost-warm weather. I hate that mid-day hangover. I dislike passing out drunk at 5, only to wake up dying of thirst at 11pm. And starving. I think I'd feel differently if March were warmer where I've lived. I think around St. P's Day I'm sick of dealing with the cold & hoping for spring.

I also always end up stranded in the downtown area of some random city- the only one who feels like going home. And there's never an available cab or any cab at all. And streets are blocked off for drunken revelry - so nobody who is sober can get through to pick my drunk a$$ up. And by mid-afternoon I look like a drunk piece of sh*t- mascara under my unfocused eyes, wearing some awful outfit, frazzled hair & blotchy foundation. And I'm PALE.

The St. P's Day before J & I made it official (5 yrs ago), I was soberly getting ready for my waitressing job. I vividly recall sitting in front of the mirror in my bedroom doing my hair/make-up, listening to all the drunk people outside. It was a legitimately nice, warm day. I then received a phone call from an inebriated J. He was attempting to [rudely, he now admits] give a dollar to an infamous homeless man. The homeless man was insulted & pushed J into the street. J then informed me that he was coming over. He came over & was so drunk that his lips were blue. Confused, I asked him if he recently ate a blue snow cone. He said to me, 'M... don't you know how unhealthy I am? I'm practically dead.' At that moment, I never valued my sobriety more. He was such a mess. He gets annoyed and rolls his eyes when I retell the story in this way (I always say, 'It was kind of sad.. actually.' because it was!). It felt so good to be in control & not wasted.

It was after that St. P Day that I realized I disliked the holiday. I have been out drinking on this holiday since & I didn't have fun passed the first few drinks. And I always regret it. I'm not drinking on this holiday ever again... unless I move to a warmer climate.

Yawn

Monkey hates when I clean out her neck rolls. At one point in my life, I'd look at the word combination of "neck roll" & think it was a kind of sushi.

I had visitors on both Tues & Wednesday. My mom came Tues while I ran errands & my childhood friend came yesterday. Monkey dressed up in jeans for my friend. Her first time wearing jeans. And little ankle socks.

More later. Monkey is sleeping & this is my chance to get things done.

Horomones again?

I'm hoping my horomones aren't acting up again- I was feeling so delightfully emotionally stable. Being able to exercise again certainly doesn't hurt the situation.

But I confess to feeling a bit blue (for lack of a better term) today- and I think it relates directly to my recent shopping for work clothes. I'm sad about leaving Monkey during the days. I know once I actually start working, I'll feel great & I'll get used to the idea that she doesn't have to be attached to my hip every second of every day to survive this life (in fact, odds are she'll thrive if she is NOT attached to my hip... that arrangement doesn't sound emotionally healthy... at all.. although if my horomones could have their way that is precisely how it would be). I just miss her & she's 3 feet away from me.

This surge of horomones manifests itself in feeling weepy (though no crying) at the sight of ANY young girls. Ages 3 mos to 12 yrs old. I can't imagine her growing to be that old. And, naturally, I'm worrying about every bad thing that might happen to her: from having a broken heart to choking on something. When packing away her newborn sized clothing that doesn't fit anymore, tears sprung to my eyes. I feel an unhealthy attachment to her OUTFITS. And this is coming from someone who THREW AWAY HER WEDDING DRESS (and I love J very, very much). Who am I?

Dear Lord, if J knew this was how I was feeling, I think he'd insist I return to work immediately. He's constantly encouraging me to leave the house (and the baby with him) for various reasons. I think he thinks I'm going nuts! Can you blame him?

I'm eager for the day I can look back on these posts and be like, 'What a loon!!!' I can already look back at her first 2 wks of life (a month ago! *wipes tear from eye*) and I'm relieved I'm not in that place anymore. I couldn't handle all those tears. Now I just get little heartaches when I'm feeling emotional. Baby steps, I suppose.

Ramblings

1. I'm still wearing granny panties. To my defense, I haven't really gotten out of yoga/sweat/pajama pants since Monkey's birth... and being sexy hasn't been on the top of my list of things to do- considering I still have the occasional spotting. I don't want to ruin a good thong. So I wear the granny panties & then chuck them after each wear... I think I have about 12 pairs total. So when I wear the 12th pair-- I'm back to sexy underwear.... whether I like it or (secretly) not. When I did venture out in jeans, though, I wore a thong.. although I tried to wear grannies... they just bunched up and stuff & felt like I was wearing a diaper. So I had no choice.

2. I purchased 3 pairs of shoes for work online today. And they're not the fun, colorful J.Crew heels with flowers and stuff. They're black or brown leather. And I got really crazy... one pair has a silver buckle. Holla!

3. My mom is coming tomorrow to watch Monkey while I shop for work clothes. I'm only doing tops tomorrow bc I'm holding out hope for the pants.

4. On that note, I'm waiting on my work out. Monk is lookin' sleepy. She's sitting next to me in her vibrating chair. This morning we awoke, I changed her, fed her, burped her, bathed her, moisturized her entire little body, put a diaper on her, clipped her little nails, dressed her, fed her again, burped her again. It's 12:15pm & I still haven't brushed my teeth (again, not complaining, just tellin' it like it is. Shout out to the stay-at-home moms!). I did manage to get downstairs and grab myself a coffee & an orange, though. I also managed to find a hair tie & put my hair in a pony tail.

5. I also have to organize my closets. They're filled with super casual & maternity clothes (since that's all I've been wearing since 2 summers ago). All my work stuff is packed away. That's going to suck.

6. For SATC lovers- The episode "Unoriginal Sin" is on OnDemand now... it's my favorite episode of all time. I watched it during bottle #1 this morning. Aren't baptisms so beautiful? Of all religious ceremonies/rituals, I find them the most moving. I want a summer baptism for Monkey... I'm thinking August.

7. Annnnnd, that's all. Monkey is asleep & I have to seize this opportunity.

Happy March!
